Prewound Bobbins Compatibility Chart
by Machine Brands & Models
|
Information in this chart has been gathered by questioning our subscribers
and customers, who kindly provided their feedbacks about experience with various
prewound bobbins. Thanks for everyone who contributed to build this list! If you
feel it can be updated in some way - please email us with your
experience.
Unless stated otherwise, the vast majority of embroidery
machines seem to work best with plastic sided prewound bobbins. Just check the
size you need, and start using prewounds. They can save you a lot of time and
trouble. People who start using prewound bobbins, usually never return to
winding bobbins again.

Brother:
Some Brother machines do have a different default bobbin case - not "L".
Yet, we've been told that they use to come with a spare bobbin case for the
widely available L-size prewound bobbins. |

To be 100%
sure whether your machine takes L or A style bobbins, it may be a good idea to
call your dealer. Or, take a ruler, and measure your "native" bobbin VERY
CAREFULLY ( because A & L are very close in size):
A size diameter
should be 0.8 inches (20 millimeters), height should be 0.4 inches (10
millimeters). L size diameter should be 0.8 inches (20 millimeters), height
should be 0.3 inches (7.5 millimeters).
If it's neither - check if your
machine came with spare bobbin case for L-size bobbins. Brother machines usually
do.
Also, if you order bobbins from us, and see that something doesn't
work like it should - within 60 days you may return them in original packaging,
and get a store credit or refund. So you're absolutely safe to try.
